Today makes the 1st day of my personal challenge to drink more water each day, I'm going for four 20-ounce bottles! Here's how it works for me:
1) To save money, I reuse water bottles and label them 1-4 on the caps.
2) I figure out a schedule for drinking them.
1- By end of morning exercise
2 - By lunch time
3-By Supper
4- By the end of the evening I finish off #4
3) I refill for the next day!
Every woman will have to drink what she feels necessary for her. Those who sweat more should drink more. Those who eat foods or drink other drinks with plenty of water could drink less.
STEP up to my challenge! For 30 days, let's see if we can drink (water) to a better health!

Hi Melissa! Great idea for a blog! As someone who's about to get her degree in nutrition, I can say: water is good for you! It's great for you! I don't drink anything but water and herb tea these days. I stopped drinking soda and even juice (unless it's really, really fresh-squeezed, otherwise all the vitamins disappear in a jiffy).

While I DO already drink 64 ounces of water a day, I drink TOO much diet coke as well. I am going to up my water intake to 96 ounces a day and less diet coke. :)

Please do use caution in drinking too much water ladies - there are risks that you might not be aware of! You can literally wash all of the vitamins and minerals that your body is needing for good health out of your system too quickly leaving you malnourished. Please consult your doctor for your water drinking requirements as there is not a 'one size fits all' amount, it is individual. It greatly depends on your fitness level as well.
Please please use caution here - all things IN MODERATION!!! I am a big water drinker myself because of my liver disease, but will never encourage others to overdo their water intake since there have been women who have injured themselves with too much.
Good advice, Heather. I think the general rule for drinking water is to drink half of your weight in ounces. So if I weighed 140 pounds (what a DREAM! LOL!!!), I would drink 70 ounces of water a day.
By the way, Melissa. I have been successful everyday with my water drinking! Thank you for putting this challenge out there- it was just what I needed!! :)

Thank you for your warning to women. That's why I posted that every lady here should drink what she feels necessary for her. I did hear of the woman who drank a lot of water and holding it to win a silly prize and she actually died. That was simply foolish!
