I'm a mom of 4, expecting our 5th in about 3 mths and I seem to be experiencing a regression in the pregnancy. What I mean is...some days I am so dreadfully nauseated and tired that I just can't seem to function. Some days I get up around 7:30 or 8 and HAVE to crash on the couch as soon as I put the baby down for her nap...anywhere between 10:30 and 12.My normal or average schedule would be something like...go to bed around 10-11 or so...get up around 7-ish. Sometimes 8. Like I said before, lately I've been having to crash out around midday. But if I don't I'm still usually ready to hit the hay around 9, but my DH is a night-owl and prefers to me to stay up with him and spend time together.
My sleeping schedule is awful! I stay up late, and get up at the last possible second. I know I would function better with more sleep, but I never seem to get to bed at a decent hour. When I do get to bed, I often lay awake, thinking through things (like projects), thinking about my day, or worrying about something I forgot to do at work. My sleep schedule is something I definitely need to work on!
Goodness, I NEED to have a sleep schedule. Before marrying, I used to be in bed by 9:30 and up about 6:30. Mr. U is a night owl and I've been staying up with him which is TOO LATE for me!! I'll go to bed about 11:30 and then get up at 6:00 when Miss Elizabeth wakes up. No wonder I'm tired all day!!!His,Mrs. U
Oh I forgot to answer the other questions...It is very easy for me to fall asleep. Waking up... well... that's another matter entirely. If it is already light outside, then I can wake up fine. But if it is still dark, I feel like I'm in a fog until I've had my shower. :)His,Mrs. U
My sleep schedule is currently very strange. I go to bed whenever my husband leaves for work - could be 11:30 p.m., midnight, or later. Then, I ALWAYS wake up before 7:00 a.m. No matter now tired I am. Since we homeschool, I can go back to sleep, but I'm a terrible sleeper. Lately though, I have gone back to sleep until around 9:00 a.m. or so. It will be a different story once school starts in the fall. In a perfect world I would be in bed by 10:00 p.m., asleep by 11:00 (after reading or watching some HGTV), then wake up by 7:00 a.m.
Did you ask for our ideal sleeping schedule OR our actual one?Ideally, I would be asleep by 10:00-10:30 and up at 6:00. Since we recently relocated to another state, my schedule has been otherwise. I have trouble sleeping, which means I'm awake til midnight or later and then sleep till 7:30 or so. I would rather be up earlier before the kids get up. It's the only quite time in the house.
Oh I am not a good sleeper at all. I fall asleep very easily but once I get woken which is often I cant get back to sleep, My husband gets up at 3am for work and then I am up I know not good I go to sleep around 9pm or 10pm and get up anywhere from 3am to 5am. I would love to go to sleep around 10pm and get up at 6am. that would be idealdeezie
It seems I can never go to sleep before midnight. Even if I go to bed early, I'm always up reading. If I'm home the next day, I wake up at 8 and it works just fine, but if I'm not... ohh that's too bad :) Sometimes I only get 5 hours of sleep.
I'm with Mrs. U--9:30 to bed and 6:30 wake up. Usually once a week (like tonight) i stay up unti 2 or 3, to do homework (went back to college) and then I'm up no later than 8.I have a before bed routine that involves prayer and Noxema (not in that order) and I usually fall asleep easily. I wake up fairly easily, too. I do have trouble staying asleep.Kimberly
I have the worst insomnia! I have to take a prescription sleep aid (Lunesta or Ambien) just to fall asleep.I try to be in bed by 10 pm, as I have to wake up Monday through Thursday at 6 am to go to work.On Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday I sleep in until my kids wake me up (usually 8 am).
Thanks for writing this.
